Hello. I am William T. Chaney Jr. and I serve as a Discipleship Adventure Guide in the Western Region for the Baltimore Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church. In this capacity I coach several pastors, develop leadership and ministry development courses to call, equip, send and support making disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Rev Michelle Holmes Chaney is currently the assistant pastor at Wesley Freedom UMC in Eldersburg, MD. I have the joy of being our daughter’s father.  Yes I am a gymnastics dad, tea party waiter and the maintenance person for the princess’ castle.

I love jazz especially live during dinner.  I act like I am good on the golf course but have lost more balls than the law allows.  I am an Ohio State football fan and follow the Cincinnati Bengals.

    Dear Rev. Chaney:

I just opened my Sept-Oct issue of the Interpreter (while I was put on hold on the telephone), and saw the words “West Baltimoire United Methodist” in bold print.
West Baltimore is my home church (along with Emora Brannan)

I am serving a church near the western end of Long Island that is facing some of the same issues that West Balto. has faced over the last 30 years, although the impact has not hit here as yet. I have heard good things about your ministry through the Higdons and others. I will track your blog with interest.

God bless you and the congregation. Please say “Hi” for my father, brother Brian, and myself.

  6. I have read, with interest, you posting of the three pillars of transformation (wordpress.com)and would like your permission to copy this in our regional church’s (Christian Church [Disciples of Christ] in Oklahoma) newsletter on congregational transformation (with proper credit to you, of course). Will you grant me that permission?

    Thank you
